Pet Sitter - Amber Mahoney

Amber Mahoney grew up in a household filled mostly with cats, birds, and the occasional fish, but her earliest memories include a Newfoundland/Irish Setter mix named Augie. It wasn't until she adopted her first dog as an adult, however, that she discovered her real love of dogs and training. She now shares her home with her two German Shepherds, Chloe, a retired service and therapy dog that Amber trained herself, and Ferrous, as well as Jupiter, the cat, who is gracious enough to put up with them.

Amber's passion for dogs has developed into a strong commitment to their humane training and treatment. She has spent several years learning from accomplished Portland trainers, and is part of the team at Synergy Behavior Solutions. She teaches puppy and basic good manners classes, and assists with behavior modification classes and private consultations. Amber recently completed the 300 hours of hours of training required to become a Certified Pet Dog Trainer.
